Specifications
The Tear Test measure the force required to tear a sample. The sample can be paper, paperboard or textile. The test is also known as the Elmendorf Test. This instrument pneumatically clamps the sample, after closing the safety hood, the sample is pre-cut and automatically torn. Since not all samples require a pre-cut, this option can be switched off. The tear tester is supplied with different weights making sure you can always measure with the correct range. Two instruments can be delivered. One for the lower ranges with pendulums included in the delivery of 4,000/ 8,000/ 16,000/ 32,000 and 64,000mN or the heavier version with pendulums of 50,000 and 100,000 mN.
